We’re excited to announce a new feature on the Green Trail Concept (GTC) website: a storytelling showcase that brings to life the journey behind the development of our two pilot events: Österlen Spring Trail (Sweden) and Zegama-Aizkorri Maratoia (Spain).
This new section offers visitors an engaging, visual, and multilingual experience that reveals how these two trail running races became the pilot events for the upcoming GTC Certification Tool. Through narrative, video, images, and community voices, the page demonstrates how race organizers assessed and improved the environmental, social, and economic sustainability of their events using our digital platform.
Inside the testing process for the tool
From pre-race planning and on-site implementation to community workshops and real-time evaluation, the storytelling captures the practical steps and lessons learned from each pilot. It also introduces our easy-to-use IT tool: a platform created to support organizers of any race size in measuring and improving their sustainability efforts.
This storytelling experience offers valuable insights into how GTC is redefining sustainability in trail running and it is specially designed for race organizers. Also, don’t miss the 1-minute video montage summarizing the entire process with testimonials, race footage, and behind-the-scenes action.
The showcase is available in six languages: English, Spanish, Catalan, Swedish, Norwegian, and French – to ensure accessibility across our European community.
Join us in shaping a more sustainable future for trail running!
